Policy Brief: Bridging the Climate Finance Gap: Unpacking the Global Disparities and Imperatives for Developing Countries

Critical supply chains are now showing signs of being more vulnerable to climate change than ever. Food security and the socioeconomic stability of those engaged in food production are at greater risk of collapse than ever before. Global economic forces interact with production activity and potentially counteract the goals set forth in climate change management forums.

Financing continues to be a handicap in the battle against climate change with funding targets not being met. More recently, the funding targets have been further relaxed, widening the financing gap. We are fast approaching a tipping point, where critical supply chains may no longer function unless these gaps are addressed in a decisive way.
